Singapore Public Holidays for 2026

Planning ahead for 2026? The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has released the official list of gazetted public holidays in Singapore. These dates help both employers and employees prepare annual work schedules, leave plans, and business operations in advance.

Below are the 11 gazetted public holidays for the year 2026:

Payment for Work Done on a Public Holiday

Under Singapore’s Employment Act, all employees are entitled to 11 paid public holidays each year as listed above. Employers and employees may mutually agree to substitute a public holiday for another working day.

If an employee is required to work on a public holiday, they are entitled to:

  • An additional day’s salary at the basic rate of pay, in addition to their gross pay for that day; or
  • Time-off in lieu, based on a mutually agreed number of hours, for the following groups of employees:
  1. Workmen earning more than $4,500 per month
  2. Non-workmen earning more than $2,600 per month
  3. All Managers and Executives
